One of my favorite memories of childhood; both mine and with my own children was our trips to the Tulsa Zoo.  Even when I lived away, each summer when we came back to visit we would make sure to take the kids to the zoo.  We had our favorites- the polar bear, seals, & elephants usually topped the list.  Even today with my children almost grown it is still fun to go to the zoo and it isn't a summer trip without lots of photo opportunities!  That's what I was thinking when I made this collage sheet up today.  Guess it's time to go to the zoo!

Well, this is the first week of summer vacation - time away from the fun of teaching art.  What to do with my time??  Sleep late: check, read wonderful novels: check, watch junk on t.v.: check, post beautiful things to Pinterest: check.  Surely there are more important things I must do; but what are they?  I know that as soon as I am  busy at work again I will remember all the things I should have done instead of what I am doing!  Oh well, till then I will continue to enjoy my blissful summer time.
